ThispositionwillbeonthefrontlinesofTeslaMotors’ITsystemssupport.ITDesktopTechnicianswillbethefaceofITforinternalcustomers.Theprimarytaskofthispositionwillbetotroubleshootandresolveendpointissues,installandsupportthesystems,andassistwiththeday-to-dayoperationsforTesla’sglobalITinfrastructuretoprovideforthegrowthofTesla’sinitiatives.Thesedutieswillbeperformedincompliancewithpolicyguidelinesandwithintimeframesasdefinedintheteam’sSLAsand/orprojectrequirements.


JobSummary:

Provideday-to-daydeliveryandtechnicalsupportforend-usersofdesktopapplications,telephones,handheldemaildevices,printersandcomputerhardware.

Responsibilities:


  • 35%SupportsWindowsdesktopOS.Diagnosesandtroubleshootscomputerandgeneralnetworkissues.
  • 10%Providestimelyresolutionofenduserproblems
  • 20%Providesupportforfieldpersonnelremotecommunicationsandconnectivity
  • 10%Basicadministrationofphonesystems
  • 25%Asnecessary,performsotherdutiesasrequired.
  • OtherResponsibilities:Performotherrelateddutiesasassigned,basedonthebusinessneed
  • Abilitytocommunicateeffectivelybothorallyandinwritingandtoestablishandmaintaincooperativeworkingrelationshipswithpersonscontactedinthecourseofperformingassigneddutiesincludingcompanymanagementandoutsidebusinessassociates.
  • Exerciseindependentjudgmentconsistentwithdepartmentguidelines\standards.
  • Organizeandprioritizeworkflowandtomeetestablishedtimeframes.
  • Maintaindknowledgeofpolicies,procedures,productsandactivitiesofassignedarea.



Requirements:


  • RequiresaBachelor’sdegreeincomputerscienceorequivalenttraining/education.
  • Requires5years’experienceindesktopsupportandmusthave2yearsofexperiencesupportinginternationalandorglobalorganizations.  KnowledgeofWindowsandOSXenvironmentandcomputerhardwareandsoftwareatanintermediateoradvancedlevel
  • Experienceinprovisioning&supportwithAvayaVOIPhardware/softwareoranequivalentVOIPecosystem.
  • Musthaveexperienceworkingwithticketbasedsystemsforregisteringincidentsandrequests.
  • KnowledgeofIPnetworks,DNS,DHCPandexperiencewithtroubleshootingallaspectsofwiredandwirelessconfigurations.
  • ExperiencewithMSSCCMorequivalentcomputerimaging.
  • ExperiencedinremotecustomersupportincludingwirelessLANaccess,VPN,DSL,andCableservices
  • ExperienceinBackups,ActiveDirectory,Exchange2007/2010,andWindowsserverenvironments?Experiencedinsupportingsmartphones(Blackberry,Droid,iPhoneandiPad)andothermobiledevices
  • AbilitytotroubleshootandresolveissueswithPC’s,PowerfulWorkstations,Laptophardwareandsoftware
  • ExperiencedinAltiris(Imaging,packaging,scripting)
  • Excellentoralandwrittencommunicationskillsandabletocommunicate,read,andwriteeffectivelyintheEnglishlanguageonalllevels.
  • Excellentcustomerserviceskills,strongattentiontodetailswithexcellentfollowup
